Education Disney Style

On the last day of our most recent trip to WDW, we decided as a family to go to the World Showcase at Epcot only and not go to the Future World. It allowed us to take our time and enjoy each of the countries. We, however, only got to 8 of the 11 countries. It was an everlasting educational experience as homeschoolers or for anyone! We have been many times before, but this time we bought each of the children these wonderful Epcot passports ($10).

The children decorated each country's page with stickers of various landmarks from that country, then they took it around to the Kid Spot in each country. At the Kid Spot, they met a native from that country and the cast member wrote something special for each child. It is marvelous to meet and visit with friendly people from another country. The children felt like they were really taking a trip around the world! The most interesting fact they learned is how different people from different countries write differently. At England, they would write left to right, then at Morroco, they wrote right to left, and at Japan they wrote top to bottom. How amazing is that?
Oh, the many hats of Disney!
